| Who is the anonymous person who writes mean-spirits comments on my blog? |
Dear Anonymous,
Thank you so much for your nasty, obnoxious and often anti-Semitic blog comments that you occasionally post to Momentslater. I especially appreciate that you take the time to read my musing on marketing, food, wine and family and feel the need to make mean-spirited comment. I’m often surprised that you do it anonymously since you write with such flair and you have so many clever ways to tell me I’m worthless.
Perhaps you have missed the key messages in my writing. I am a caring and heart-centered person who is trying to share some of the knowledge I have gained through my career. Although many people challenge my marketing ideas, most people enjoy reading what I have to say. 99% of the comments are constructive, encouraging and positive. Whenever I see a new comment from you Anonymous, I know that I am going to have my patience tested. But, your hateful words encourage me to find a way to be even more compassionate since you are obviously an unhappy person who takes pleasure in being mean. Sorry you are having a bad day, week or life.
I also want to thank you for reminding me that the overwhelming majority of the world is filled with kind-hearted people who are looking to say and do good things in the world. You are part of this very tiny percentage of people who focus on saying nasty things meant to hurt my feelings like a high school bully. What a waste of energy to be spewing hatred. You must get very tired.
I feel sad for you and hope that you can find something good and fulfilling to write about in the future. You must have something positive to say or comment on and I hope you find a place to voice something worthwhile.
I know I am lucky. My life is rich and has always been filled with a loving family, great friends and colleagues and a positive upbeat spirit about life. You see the glass as half empty and I see it as half full. I hope you find something nice to say in the future.

My 85 year old mother told me if I don’t have something nice to say about someone, don’t say anything at all. Pretty sage advice.
Best Regards,
Jeff Slater
P.S. My mother also taught me to always thank people who give me something. In your obnoxious and hurtful comments, you have given me a wonderful gift that reminds me of all that is good in my life. Thank you.

Wow. Never noticed this moron! Keep spreading the love, we all enjoy it!
Well said my friend…
Well said Jeff! It is sad to see how dis-functional, ignorant & cowardly insecure this “anonymous” person is; there is obviously no love or anything worth celebrating in his/her life, unfortunately it’s also a reflection of his/her upbringing, pity, but as you said, it’s these type people and their actions, which reminds us how blessed we are for all the good & loving people we have in our lives.
And to you “anonymous” person, go get yourself a dog, a cat or a turtle, hopefully they will instill over time some compassion in you.
Oh I had so much to say, but after reading Yo’s comment/s. I am going to limit it to a few knee jerk comments. Knee jerk of course with some thought.
-Go for the Turtle “anonymous” as a starting point. Lessons could be learned.
-Jeff, I am one of those that enjoy on many levels your skills, thank you very much for taking the time to do what you do. I Love it, I share it and I certainly regard you highly as I learn from you.
Jeff the way you drafted let’s call it your response to this person, was another wonderful example of how really talented you are.
I did not get back to you on an e mail you wrote me, you closed with in this e mail with am I in Marketing, no would be the answer. I am the director of operations for an electronics co. we do much with H. Packard, Oracle and hospitals.
But the intrigue I have with your skills and writing is due to how we can all parlay what you do into our lives, again I want to thank you for taking the much time it takes to do what you do as let’s call it a Blog.
SIncerely,
Carl Banke
Lovely sentiments all. As Donald Trump would say: “Loser!”
