Jules needed to reach an audience of medical device professionals who could benefit from a service he offered. He wanted to buy a mailing list but I convinced him that we could build one that could double his open rates instead. We did it one human at a time.

So we hired our friends at Box Pilot to build a customized list using LinkedIn and many other current and relevant data sources. They provided a list they hand-crafted and tested for accuracy. It was fresher and far more accurate than anything conventionally available. Yes, it was more expensive but worth the price.

The results: our campaign had an open rate of 38% versus their typical rate of 13% for email. Best of all, they achieved their goal to raise awareness of their firm, shared an explainer video and started conversations with some interested companies. They tripled their click-through rate too.

Not all lists are created equal. Best to build it one name at a time using a content marketing strategy.
